Mumbai: An unusual job listing by a Navi Mumbai-based company has sparked an online debate about work-life balance. Initially, the ad for a Talent Acquisition Executive included typical qualifications, such as BPO experience and strong communication skills. However, it was the last requirement that caught everyone’s attention: “Personal life should be sorted with no baggage.”

A Reddit user shared a screenshot of the job post on the forum “Recruiting Hell,” leading to over 5,000 upvotes and a flood of comments.

One user sarcastically remarked, “So, no getting sick or having a family?” Another compared the work-life imbalance in India to that of Japan, referencing recent workplace tragedies like the EY suicides due to stress. A third user commented, "How would they even measure that?" imagining a scenario where candidates are rejected due to “unresolved trauma.”

The post has since gone viral, raising questions about the boundaries between professional and personal lives in India’s work culture.

The post has gained criticism amidst the recent conversations surrounding the death of Anna Sebastian who allegedly died due to excessive workload.
