Paris: Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was allegedly spotted in Paris with his crypto coach girlfriend recently.

Durov was arrested two weeks ago by French police at an airport near Paris on allegations that his platform was being used for illicit activities such as drug trafficking and the distribution of child sexual abuse images.

He has been banned from departing from Paris and is mandated to check in at a Paris police station twice a week. 

The case grabbed more headlines when several reports suggested that Juli Vavilova, the founder’s girlfriend and a crypto coach based in Dubai, might be the reason for Durov's arrest.

The video featuring the billionaire and his girlfriend was shared by blogger Maria Lobanova on Instagram, with the caption: “Good evening! Our people are in town.”

It captured the messaging app CEO walking the streets of Paris with the 'mysterious woman,' who was also reportedly arrested with Durov at the airport.

The video quickly gained attention on the internet, with many users noting that the entrepreneur appeared worried.

Previously, a number of theories on social media suggested that Juli Vavilova may have been under surveillance by law enforcement agencies, which could have led to Durov's arrest.

Earlier, the duo had been spotted together on various occasions and in various locations such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. Vavilova’s Instagram account features several images of her with Durov.

Vavilova’s social media posts, including photos with Pavel Durov in Paris, have sparked speculation within the crypto community that she may have inadvertently or intentionally led authorities to their location. Some speculate about her possible involvement in the circumstances surrounding Pavel’s arrest, with theories ranging from her being a honey trap to even being a Mossad agent.
