Viral News: As Coldplay gears up for their long-awaited comeback to India, nearly a decade after their last visit, fans are facing intense competition for tickets on BookMyShow. The frenzy has left many disappointed, with ticket prices soaring up to Rs 3 lakh.

Amid the ticketing chaos, a viral video has further frustrated dedicated fans. The clip shows an influencer asking self-proclaimed 'Coldplay fans' to name at least two band members. Shockingly, most of them struggled to answer.

The video sparked backlash online, with many criticizing the superficial hype created by people who barely know the band.

"90% of the people calling themselves Coldplay fans can't even name one member. Because of this fake hype, real fans couldn't get a single ticket. This is what wannabe cool looks like," one user commented.

Another echoed the sentiment: "Influencers will always be in line for the costliest tickets, despite not knowing the 'C' in Coldplay. This happens in developing nations, but some basic measures should be taken to curb black marketing."

"Everyone was a HUGE Coldplay fan for a day and cried about not getting tickets like their lives depended on it," added another. "This is what wannabe cool looks like."

Others lamented the trend of concertgoers recording performances instead of enjoying the music: "They won’t hear a single word. They’re just going to record everything on their phones."

"Can’t even imagine what real Coldplay fans must be feeling," one user sympathized.

The comments also pointed to a broader critique: "Fake generation, fake fandom, but a genuine existential crisis."

Coldplay is set to perform in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21 as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour. Fans are still reeling as third-party vendors continue to sell tickets at exorbitant prices.
