The memo, which was shared on the Reddit forum 'antiwork,' declared that employees would no longer be allowed to miss work due to their children's illnesses. It read, "Calling out because your child is sick is no longer a valid excuse to miss work and will now result in a write-up. We do not employ your children and, as such, their sickness is not an excuse for you to miss work. Go, team!"

The note shocked netizens, and several users expressed their displeasure in the comments section.

One person wrote, "Realistically speaking, this is mainly an anti-women policy. Nothing new, is it?"

“We don’t employ your children, but if we could exploit them for profit, we would. If you need to care for your children, you will be penalized,” remarked another user.

"Certain things make you roll your eyes and say, 'Fine, I'll do it.' Other things actively breed resentment and make you work against the company. This is one of those," opined a fourth user.

A fifth user added, "State law issue. Sounds like it’s time to unionize. Terrible, terrible management."
