“This Indian guy made a thread of girls posting their Diwali pictures and captioned it ‘Patakas,’ which translates to fireworks, a form of objectification. Notice how many women made their accounts private or deleted their posts because they didn’t expect their happy moments would end up in this creepy thread. Not a single man is objecting, if not encouraging more,” one user commented.
Another user questioned, “Is it me or is this such a weird thing to do?”

“This is a really weird tweet. I hope you asked these ladies before making a thread of their pictures,” added a third user.
“Bro is so jobless that I’m willing to give him a job cleaning gutters because that seems like where he belongs,” remarked another.

A final comment read, “One more reason why I don’t feel like posting media on X? A random stranger calling me a ‘patakha’ and making a thread as if he’s organizing a full-blown exhibition.”
The techie defended his post, sharing screenshots of captions from women who had used the term “patakha” themselves, and responded, “Our ‘pataka’ pataka, my ‘pataka,’ rapist, misogynist, creep blah blah?”
He also wrote, “For those lecturing me on ‘consent’: I didn’t download their media and post it from my account; I quoted it. If you have a problem with how quotes work, make your account private or take this issue to Elon bhai.”
