A woman recently shared on Reddit about her husband’s niece, calling her "inconsiderate" and "tacky" after niece planned a destination wedding but ended up marrying a month earlier without informing guests.
In her post shared to "r/weddingshaming", she detailed her frustration with niece for her lack of communication surrounding last-minute decision. According to post, titled "You're invited to our wedding! Oh, never mind," niece anunced her engment 14 months ahe of wedding date.

Reddit user shared that her husband's niece, Jennifer and her fiance asked guests to make reservations early to ensure spots at hotel and event, and user obliged. Seventh months later, couple "reiterated importance of booking everything asap (as soon as possible)". However, about a month before scheduled wedding, Reddit user said she received a shock when far of bride mentioned that Jennifer h gotten married previous weekend, "albeit in a new destination and with a very scaled-down number of guests present," she wrote.
This information naturally was jarring for woman as she h me reservations at couple's request months prior. "Until this point, we h never been apprised of any new developments or changes to original plans!" post re. " card, email, THING! And because we only learned news after fact, it was too late to cancel our reservations and/or change our flight. Consequently, we were out quite a bit of money!" woman said.

Furr, in post, woman expressed sympathy for couple, ackwledging that circumstances may have been out of ir control. However, she reiterated her frustration with way couple communicated with ir guests.
" thing is, I understand that that life happens, and sometimes plans change. In this case, Jennifer and her beau actually h a valid reason(it's a long story) for doing what y did. But I DON'T understand why we weren't told about change in plans before actual new wedding took place!" she wrote.

"I think even letting us and or dis-invited kw via a mass email would have been better than communication at all," post concluded. "Breach of etiquette, inconsiderate, and yes, Tacky!"
