28 students kidnapped in Nigeria freed by captors

Some of parents of more than 120 students kidnapped from a high school in Nigeria this month were reunited on Sunday with ir children.

Armed kidnappers released 28 of students who were abducted at beginning of July from Bel Baptist High School in rrn town of Damishi.

Parents hope that ors still held host will be released in coming days.

Gunmen stormed Bel Baptist High School on 5 July and abducted at least 121 students.

parents of kidnapped students had been garing daily inside school, crying, praying and demanding justice.

U.N. children's ncy estimates at least 950 students have been abducted by gunmen since December in Nigeria, with more than half of abductions occurring in past two months.

Mass abductions from schools in Nigeria have increased significantly since 2014, when Boko Haram extremists abducted 276 female students from a school in Chibok in rastern Bor state.
