A new study however reveals that listening to Adele instrumental music while you're driving can actually reduce stress levels and keep an individual at peace.

Music has always been a stress-buster. A new study, however, reveals that listening to ele while driving can actually reduce stress and be instrumental in bringing  driver some peace. effects are surprising especially when one is driving amidst heavy traffic jams. study was published in Complementary rapies in Medicine revealed that listening to instrumental music has positive effects on  heart. 

study reveals music is a stress buster

study was cross-sectional with a collection of random data under a controlled environment. According to research, re were five women who drove for two days. On first day, women were asked to drive for 20 minutes during rush hour and listen to instrumental music of Hello and Someone Like You, along with or instrumental songs like Christian musician Chris Tomlin's instrumental of Amazing Grace, Electra by Airstream and Exile by Enya. Next day y were asked to drive in silence.

Music reduces stress

In second phase of testing, researchers measured cardiac stress levels which were monitored via a monitor that was attached to participants' chest and calculated heart rate variability. variations in heart rate are defined as fluctuations between consecutive heartbeats. When parasympatic nervous system is active, n heart beats slower and person feels more relaxed.

Music increases activity of parasympatic nervous system

study concluded that women participants who drove while listening to music enabled higher levels of parasympatic nervous system activity while activity of sympatic nervous system was comparatively low. researchers said, listening to relaxing music can act as a preventive measure to reduce and regulate stress, at same time help to keep one’s heart, healthy. It moderates stress overlo. Any stressful situation can trigger sympatic nervous system and release of multiple hormones in body. This can have serious cardiovascular effects leing to heart problems in later part of life.
