Earlier this week, one of Afghanistan's first female mayors Zarifa Ghafari h issued a piercing statement saying that she was waiting for Taliban to come and kill her after group overran Kabul. While talking to British outlet iNews, she said, “I'm sitting here waiting for m to come. re is no one to help me or my family. I'm just sitting with m and my husband. And y will come for people like me and kill me. I can't leave my family. And anyway, where would I go?"
