After fully shot 'Varmaa', Tamil remake of 'Arjun Reddy' gets controversially scrapped, 'October' actress Banita Sandhu joins cast
There’s been trouble for Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram’s debut ‘Varmaa’ which after being fully shot, has been scrapped for being ‘unsatisfactory’. The makers are going ahead with a reshoot of the movie, which is the Tamil remake of Telugu hit ‘Arjun Reddy’, and ‘October’ actress Banita Sandhu has been the first addition to the new version.

news was confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh and production house E4 Entertainment on Twitter.
Earlier, Megha Chowdhury was lead actress of movie and Banita has stepped into her shoes. actress' 'October', directed by Shoojit Sircar, was among most critically acclaimed films of last year and this will be her second major role.

Bala, who is kwn for directing some of Vikram’s popular films ‘Sethu’ and ‘Pithamagan,’ had said that he was ‘relieving’ himself from project to 'safeguard creative freedom' and in consideration of Dhruv’s future.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor had been going all guns blazing for Hindi version of 'Arjun Reddy', titled 'Kabir Singh.'
