Aid distributed in areas affected by Beirut blast

Caritas association was distributing food and medicine on Monday in Achrafieh, a neighborhood in east Beirut bly hit by explosion on August 4.
On Sunday, World leers and international organizations pledged nearly $300 million in emergency humanitarian aid to Beirut in wake of devastating explosion, but warned that money for rebuilding capital will be me available until Lebanese authorities commit mselves to political and ecomic reforms demanded by people.

Leban was alrey struggling with an unprecedented ecomic crisis before explosion. More than 160 people were killed in blast, around 6,000 were injured and thousands of residential buildings and offices were damd. Since blast, an estimated 300,000 people have been displaced, according goverr of Beirut.
