New Delhi: Tech giant Amazon has come under fire over allegations of interfering in the upcoming United States Elections after its famous device 'Alexa' provided different responses to same questions about Vice President Kamala Haris and former US president Donald Trump .

Several video of Alexa's response have gone viral wherein the gadget can be seen responding in favour of Harris and refusing to answer when asked about Trump in regard to the upcoming high-stake elections.

The gadget provided biased responses to users' questions about the two presidential election nominees.

In one of the videos, a man can be seen asking to the gadget, "Alexa, Why should I vote for Donald Trump ?' to which it responded, "I can't provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate."

The an again asks he same question by replacing trump with Harris, to which it responds "Voting for Kamala Harris means supporting the candidates who advocates for the need of the people and has a track record of fighting for social justice..."

The AI home device went on the laud the policy formation under Harris administration.

However, the company has dismissed such allegations and cited an “error” as the reason behind the biased answers.

The tech firm said that the "error" has been fixed now and Alexa has no political opinion of its own.

Meanwhile, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a member of the Republican Party, put Amazon “on notice” in a letter on Thursday, after videos showed the Alexa could provide responses on why to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris but refused to answer the same question when asked in regard to former President Donald Trump .
