Americans living in Thailand were among the first to vote in the US Democratic Party's primaries on so-called 'Super Tuesday'. Gary Gray, originally from New York, was the first to arrive and cast his vote at the voting center in Bangkok - one of 230 voting centers in more than 40 countries around the world run by the group, Democrats Abroad.

The group, an official organization representing Democrats living outside the United States, is given state-level recognition by the Democratic National Committee.
