Crowds gathered in Bulgaria's capital of Sofia on Thursday, to call for the resignation of the prime minister and chief prosecutor.
Thursday demonstration comes after the embattled Prime Minister Boyko Borissov replaced the Justice Minister Danail Kirilov, who faced strong public criticism for a controversial proposal for a new constitution he co-authored.

The move is unlikely to appease protesters, who have been calling for nearly two months, for the whole government to step down.
Parliament on Thursday elected Kirilov's deputy, Desislava Ahladova, as the new justice minister.

During a previous demonstration on Wednesday night, thousands of people faced off against riot police in front of the parliament, leading to violence, injuries and arrests.
Senior officials from Borissov's ruling centre-right party said on Thursday that after the violent events, they will stop all debates about a possible resignation.
