As Taliban re-conquers Afghanistan, posters of women seen being whitewashed in Kabul

Shortly after the Taliban insurgents breached the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday, the advertising posters showing women were seen being painted over.

Shortly after Taliban insurgents breached Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday, vertising posters showing women were seen being painted over, furr confirming what many feared would happen if Taliban succeeds in its conquest - a return to days of horrific oppression of women. Earlier, in a breaking development, it was informed that Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani will tender his resignation as government has surrendered to Taliban forces which reached Kabul on Sunday. 

Following talks between Afghan government and Taliban negotiators, an interim government led by Taliban has been anunced. new Afghanistan government reportedly be led by top Taliban leer Mullah Abdul Ghani Barar.

Taliban's repression of women resumes

As Taliban h  started to re-capture country of Afghanistan, insurgents h  alrey started resuming  regressive practices against women. According to a report by Associated Press, after Taliban's takeover, women are t being allowed to go out to markets without a male escort, reveal ir ankles, or to  step out of ir homes to work. For those who saw Taliban rule before 2001, se diktats serve as a stark reminder of time when women were t allowed to study and work. Taliban in past has also carried out public executions, chopped off hands of thieves and stoned women accused of ultery.

Taliban issues statement after entering Kabul

After infiltrating outskirts of Afghan capital, Taliban in a statement said that y have plans to take Kabul by force. Meanwhile, 3 Afghanistan officials h said that fighters were in districts of Kalakan, Qaeabagh and Paghman in capital. This statement comes after Afghan Interior Ministry anunced that  Taliban h begun entering  Afghan capital from all sides.

" Taliban instructs all its forces to stand at gates of Kabul, t to try to enter city. Till completion of transition process, security of Kabul city must be maintained. We do t intend to take revenge on anyone, all those who have served in military and civilian sectors in Kabul ministration are forgiven and safe. All should stay in ir own place and home and t try to leave country," stated Taliban.

Following that, Afghanistan's Acting Interior Minister, Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal, h said that Kabul will t be attacked by Taliban and transition of power will happen peacefully, reby confirming that government h surrendered. He h also assured residents that security forces will ensure security of city.

Given this major lever, nation failed to protect its capital.  militant group took over all border posts leing to Kabul, leaving only Kabul airport as remaining exit from war-torn nation. Helicopters were seen landing at US Embassy in Kabul as diplomatic vehicles began to leave compound after destroying sensitive documents.
