ASTRO member Moonbin to have a quiet funeral; K-Pop idol's agency releases statement

K-Pop group ASTRO's member Moonbin died by suicide on April 19. He was 25. singer's agency Fantagio released a statement after several reports of his death started doing rounds on Internet.

As per statement, funeral will be held as quietly as possible with family, friends, and company colleagues in attendance. statement furr re that everyone including ASTRO members, Moonbin's family, and friends are in deep shock after his demise. statement re, "This is Fantagio. First of all, we would like to express our apologies for bringing you such s and heartbreaking news. On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in sky. Although it cannot be compared to grief of bereaved family who lost ir beloved son and bror, ASTRO members, as well as our fellow Fantagio artists and executives, are deeply mourning deceased in great sness and shock."

"It is even more painful to deliver sudden news to fans who have supported Moonbin and sent him generous love. We are more heartbroken because we know heart of deceased who always loved and thought of his fans more than anyone else. We earnestly ask you to refrain from speculative and malicious reports so that bereaved family who is deeply sdened by sudden s news can mourn deceased. According to bereaved family's wishes, funeral will be held as quietly as possible with family, friends and company colleagues in attendance. Once again, we send our deep condolences to deceased.”

More about Moonbin's death

Moonbin was found de by his manager at his residence. After realising that singer is not responding, his manager informed police about situation. case was registered at Seoul Gangnam Police Station. While actual reason for K-Pop idol's death isn't revealed, police reportedly stated that Moonbin's cause of death is likely suicide. An autopsy will be conducted to determine actual cause of his death.
