Australia bushfire: Zookeeper shelters monkeys, pandas and tiger at home to save them

Amidst the bushfires that have been affecting Australia, Mogo zoo was able to save all its animals as the keeper sheltered them in his home

Amidst destructive bushfires that have been affecting Australia, Mogo Zoo was able to save all its animals as keeper sheltered m in his home on Thursday. zookeeper took  monkeys, pandas, and even a tiger to his place as zoo started catching fire.  Mogo Wildlife Park situated along  South Coast of New South Wales was severely affected by fires on Thursday.

As fire spre in  park, zoo director, Ch Staples in an interview with a media outlet said that all  zookeepers were well-prepared to protect animals. He asserted that animal was hurt because of fire.

ding to this, Staples also claimed that re were different animals in different rooms at his place. He said that se animals h pet packs and thus y were safe and protected. 

Staples ded that zookeepers felt it was safer to keep larger and more dangerous animals including lions and gorillas in ir night enclosures where y would feel more comfortable as bushfires rd around m.

As Australia has been battling unprecedented bushfires and a record-breaking heatwave,  Australian Fire Service department declared a state of emergency for seven days on January 2.

Premier of Australian state of New South Wales, Glys Berejiklian said on Thursday that emergency would come into effect by morning of January 3. This comes as wear conditions are expected to degre significantly in coming week while raising fire danger even furr.

This is third time New South Wales has declared a state of emergency in several months, last two being in vember and December. previous emergency calls were also for seven days and granted extraordinary powers to Rural Fire Service.

residents could also be subjected to forced evacuations, ro closures along with or necessary means in order to keep citizens safe. Berejiklian said she wants to be prepared for what could be a 'horrible day on Saturday'.
