According to international reports, wildfires have killed more than 20,000 koalas but 19-year-old Micah and 18-year-old Caleb played ir part in saving left population of species.
Out of total Koalas y rescued, six were orphaned and two of m were mors with children. Reportedly, teenrs will t only take care of marsupials but will also ensure ir return to wildlife once situation is contained. boys have refused to take koalas off island because according to m it would furr have an verse effect on alrey decimated population of animals.

Some international reports also say that Micah and Caleb decided to leave animals who 'seemed okay' on criteria of a number of burns animals suffered. most vulnerable ones were, however, saved. According to Patrick, he rescued a total of nine koalas from almost certain deaths by venturing into eucalyptus forests in Mallacoota, East Gippsland. While talking to local media, he also said that he found first koala under pump of a water treatment plant. That first koala spurred Patrick into action and n he continued to find 8-9 more. Australia is battling one of hottest days of season with temperatures rising up to 40-degree Celcius.
