The woman had spent Friday night (July 19) drinking in the bars and clubs near the Moulin Rouge cabaret before the men reportedly approached her at an unspecified location.

CCTV footage showed the woman running into the shop, utterly terrified and asking the staff for help. Minutes later, a man enters the shop, and the woman points to him as one of the men who assaulted her.
The man pats the woman on the back before placing a food order. A staff member attempts to tackle the man, but he eventually leaves the kebab shop.

The shop owners and staff called emergency responders to attend to the woman, trying in vain to console the 25-year-old. Two officers then spoke with her about the ordeal before she was taken to a hospital.
According to the report, the woman was "disoriented and unable to speak a word of French" as she recounted the incident to the police. She could not provide details about the exact location or circumstances of the attack.
