Austrians take to streets to protest against lockdown for unvaccinated population

More than a thousand people took to the streets in Austria to protest against the government's plan to introduce a lockdown for people who have not vaccinated.

More than ten thousand people took to streets in Austria to protest against government's plan to introduce a lockdown for people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, news agency Sputnik reported on Sunday. Notably, decision is likely to be announced by Sunday evening over restrictions imposed on unvaccinated population. Russian news agency said that demonstrators walked to regional office of national brocaster ORF. According to protestors, y said national brocaster is lying over COVID-19 data and publishing bogus reports over compulsory vaccination.

Protestors say national media is lying

It is worth mentioning that country has been grappling with highly contagious Coronaviruc, with over 700 cases per 100,000 residents being reported on a daily basis, reported AP on Saturday. country reported 11,798 new cases on Friday, up from 9,388 a week ago. Meanwhile, protestors also took to social media platforms and flooded videos of demonstration on microblogging site. Notably, nearly 65% of Austrians are fully vaccinated for dely virus and, rest 35% are barred from accessing restaurants, hotels, hairdressing salons, and large public events.

This recent move also prohibits unvaccinated individuals older than age 12 from leaving ir homes except for basic activities such as working, grocery shopping, going for a walk — or getting vaccinated. Meanwhile, defending move, authorities said y are concerned about rising deaths and that hospital staff would no longer be able to handle growing influx of COVID-19 patients. 

Austrian brol offers free 30-minute sexual sauna club session to encourage vaccination

As COVID-19 hit country, it has affected local business and also international market. In a bizarre marketing idea to attract clients as well as encourage unvaccinated males, an Austrian brol offered free entry to a 'sauna club' for anyone who agreed to have jab, reported Daily Mail on Tuesday. According to media report, "Funpalast" in Vienna offers clients a 30-minute session in sexual 'sauna club' with 'ly of ir choice' if y get vaccine at on-site clinic.

Citing brol, Daily Mail said that project was started in first week of this month after it was reported that  country's leership planned to invoke a lockdown for unvaccinated people. According to cathouse, main motive behind idea was to encourage Austrians to get life-saving vaccine. It also highlighted low vaccination status of country, resulting in fall of clients at "pleasure site".
