Bangladesh is witnessing its worst political crisis after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation amid violent protests in the country.

Banglesh Govt Crisis: Sheikh Hasina on Monday resigned as Prime Minister of Banglesh days after violent protests that have gripped nation over a new quota move by interim government. Soon after her resignation, a flood of protestors seized Prime Minister's residence and were seen vandalising property.
According to reports, Sheikh Hasina has arrived in India and is presently in Agartala. She is likely to be taken to Delhi.

Soon after Sheikh Hasina's resignation, Banglesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman announced that he's taking responsibility of country.
"I'm taking all responsibility (of country). Please cooperate," he said in a televised dress amid reports that Hasina has left country. re were unconfirmed reports that she was heed to a city in India.

Army chief said he h met political leers and told m Army would take over responsibility for law and order. As protests spiralled across country, he said he h asked both Army and police not to fire any shots.
More than 100 people have been killed in protests against Hasina government over last two days. country has been witnessing fierce demonstrations over controversial quota system that reserves 30 per cent of jobs for families of veterans who fought 1971 liberation war.

Zaman also urged restraint and asked protesters to end violence.
