Five terminally ill kids turned Police Commissioner for a day as the Department let them dress in uniform with real weapons fulfilling their life goals.

In a heartwarming move, Bengaluru City Police allowed five terminally ill kids to play role of Police Commissioner for a day on September 9. Fulfilling children's life goals, Police Department let kids dress up as Commissioner, wearing neat khaki uniforms with bges, shoes, and belts. initiative was a joint effort of Bengaluru Police and Make-A-Wish India Foundation, which works to fulfill wishes of children with life-threatening diseases.

A day as Police Commissioner

kids, including four boys and a girl, were given a ceremonial welcome by police on ir arrival. This was followed by a tour in which y were shown Police Control Room and Dog Squ. To make it more real and exciting, y were also given walkie talkies and ride in Police jeep. Later, department served m a scrumptious snack to binge upon. Also, Bangalore Commissioner Bhaskar Rao pinned kids with Guard of Hour at end of ir visit.

Volunteers from Make-A-Wish India initially visited all five children who were being treated in different hospitals in Bengaluru. It is during ir meeting that y found out that kids were inspired by actors who played Police Officers. This led m to fulfill ir innate wishes. Speaking of his organization's motive, Deepak S Bhatia, CEO of Make-A-Wish India, said that y wish to grant innermost cherished wish of a child as it has a very positive impact on child, his or her family and all concerned.

Thanking Police for ir cooperating, Bhatia said that he is very grateful to Commissioner Bhaskar Rao for memorable experience he gave m. He ds that move helped m to move towards ir aim of transforming lives, one wish at a time.
