Billboard in Kosovo wishes Trump a fast recovery

A Kosovar citizen on Tuesday unveiled a billboard to wish US President Donald Trump a speedy recovery during his battle with COVID-19. The billboard is set along the highway to the country's only airport in Sllatine village, 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the capital Pristina. It was set up by Naim Murseli, an ethnic Albanian, who lives in Sweden, who said he wanted to "do something in the name of all pro-American Albanians".

"So I decided to wish him a swift recovery", he said. Murseli said he funded the advertising money for the billboard himself, which he believes reflects the thoughts of many Albanians in his native Kosovo. Many Kosovars condsider the country to be one of the most pro-American nations.

It was the US that led NATO's 78-day airstrike campaign in 1999 during the Kosovo war with Serbia, and many have been pleased by recent efforts by the Trump administration to reach a final agreement with Serbia through economic ties.
