Bangladesh To Seek Sheikh Hasina’s Extradition From India, Says Muhammad Yunus
Bangladesh announced plans on Sunday to seek the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India.

New Delhi, India: Banglesh ’s Chief viser and Nobel laureate Professor Muhamm Yunus announced plans on Sunday to seek extrition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina , who fled to India following ousting of her Awami League government in August.
Speaking during a televised dress marking 100th day of his interim ministration, Yunus vowed to deliver justice for violence that unfolded during July-August revolution. "We will ensure justice for every killing during revolution," Yunus declared. "Efforts to prosecute those responsible are progressing well, and we will demand Hasina’s return from India to hold her accountable."
Awami League regime, led by Sheikh Hasina, was toppled on August 5 following mass protests sparked by a quota reform campaign organized by Anti-Discrimination Students Movement. student-led demonstrations quickly escalated into a nationwide uprising. Amid growing unrest and allegations of violent crackdowns, Hasina fled Banglesh in secrecy and sought refuge in India.

Three days later, Professor Muhamm Yunus was appointed Chief viser of interim government. Since n, government has accused Hasina and her party leers of ordering brutal suppression of protests, resulting in what it calls "crimes against humanity and genocide."
A week ago, Law Affairs viser Asif Nazrul announced that government would seek Interpol’s assistance to issue a Red Notice against Hasina and or fugitives.

"No matter where in world se fugitive fascists are hiding, y will be brought back and held accountable in court," Nazrul said.
