US: 4 Dead, Dozens Injured in Mass Shooting Outside Bar in Alabama, Multiple Shooters Supsected

Four people were killed while dozens were injured in a mass shooting in US's Alabama state, according to media reports.

Washington: Four people were killed while dozens were injured in a mass shooting outside a bar in US's Alabama state, according to media reports. The tragic incident unfolded at Five Points South area near downtown Birmingham in Alabama, late on Saturday night.

Three victims died on the spot while the fourth was declared dead at a hospital. Soon after Birmingham police received a call regarding the mass shooting at 2000 block of Magnolia Ave, a police team rushed to the spot. According to local police, Public Information Division were en route crime spot. 

Birmingham police and firefighters admitted eight injured people to the hospital. Out of eight, four of them sustained life-threatening injuries.

"BPD officers are on the scene of multiple people shot with possibly multiple casualties. Five Points South area. Public Information Division is en route and will be providing Media Partners with live updates," local police tweeted.

The crime spot is located near the University of Alabama and is a bustling spot housing several restaurants and bars. US authorities suspect role of multiple shooters in the mass shooting. So far, no arrests have been made.
