Chemical Leak at Malaysia Airport Leaves 20 Staff in Hospital

New Delhi, India: A chemical leak at an aircraft engineering facility on Thursday at Malaysia airport left at least 20 people affected. However, there were no operational disruptions in the Kuala Lumpur international airport.
The 20 people affected were airport personnel, the department said.
“The affected people were experiencing dizziness and were sent for medical treatment,” said the fire department in its statement.
Emergency call on chemical leak
According to media report, the department received an emergency call regarding the chemical leak at the Souther Support Zone Sepang Aircraft Engineering facility at around 11.23 am (0323 GMT) and dispatched its personnel along with a hazardous materials team, it said in the statement.
