New Delhi: Twin explosions were reported near the vicinity of Israel's embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city, on Wednesday. However, there were no immediate reports of any injuries.
The Copenhagen police have launched an investigation into the twin blasts.
"On the basis of two explosions, we are present in the Strandagervej/Lundevangsvej area. No one has been injured, and we are carrying out the initial investigations at the scene. A possible connection to the Israeli Embassy, located in the area, is being investigated," the Copenhagen police tweeted.
The explosions near Israel's embassy in Copenhagen comes amid the rising likelihood of the widening of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war following the October 7 attack on southern Israel, several Israeli embassies worldwide have come under alleged targeted attacks.
More details are awaited.
