'Red Line Crossed': Canadian MP Arya Condemns Khalistani Attack on Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton

Canadian MP Arya condemned the temple attack and said that a "red line has been crossed" by Khalistani extremists, highlighting the rise of violent extremism.

Ottawa: After Khalistani extremists attacked Hindu-Canadian devotees at Hindu Sabha temple in Bratimpton, Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya condemned violence, stating that a "red line has been crossed" and highlighting alarming rise of violent extremism in Canada.

In a video shared on X, Arya expressed his concerns, saying, "A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today. attack by Khalistanis on Hindu-Canadian devotees inside premises of Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada." He furr ted, "I begin to feel that re is a small grain of truth in reports that in addition to Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated into our law enforcement ncies."

Arya pointed out that Khalistani extremists are exploiting Canada's freedom of expression laws, claiming y receive a "free pass." He urged Hindu-Canadians to assert ir rights and hold politicians accountable for ir community's safety: “ wonder that under 'freedom of expression' Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass in Canada. As I have been saying for long, Hindu-Canadians, for security and safety of our community, need to step up and assert ir rights and hold politicians accountable.”

This incident is part of a troubling trend of religious intolerance in Canada, with Arya previously voicing concern over violence against Hindu-Canadian communities. In July, he condemned vandalism of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Edmonton and highlighted pattern of attacks on Hindu temples across country, including incidents in Greater Toronto Area and British Columbia.
