Speculations have however arisen on wher Cana's move was a larger snub to China over its arbitrary detainment of two Canian nationals which was followed by its decision to halt billions of dollars of agricultural imports. relations between two countries have been on a slow decline following arrest of Meng Wanzhou, daughter of founder of Chinese tech giant Huawei on an extrition request of United States back in 2018.
China's state-sponsored media South China Morning Post reported that reason for Cana's decision to scrap deal remained 'unclear' ding that it was t certain on wher it h anything to do with political tensions between two countries.
