Canada PM Justin Trudeau Acknowledges Immigration Missteps, Says ‘Could’ve Acted Faster'
In a video message posted on X, Trudeau acknowledged that his government could have acted faster on changing the immigration policy.

Ottawa: Canian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Sunday acknowledged change in ir immigration policy and shared details on what prompted his government to make move. Citing details, he ded that y “could have acted quicker and turned off taps faster”.
He also alleged that "fake colleges and big chain corporations have been exploiting" ir immigration system for ir own interests", prompting his govt to changing ir immigration program.

In a video message posted on X, Trudeau acknowledged that his government could have acted faster on changing immigration policy. He also said that population in Cana has grown really fast.
In a nearly seven minute video posted on his YouTube channel, Liberal Party of Cana (LPC) leer said, “In last two years, our population has grown really fast, like baby boom, fast and increasingly b actors like fake colleges and big chain corporations have been exploiting our immigration system for ir own interests.”

Canian PM furr said that post Covid-19 pandemic, re was a rise in demand for labours in country.
“So, we brought in more workers. It was right choice. It worked. Our economy grew. Restaurants and stores reopened, businesses kept running, but most importantly, in spite of lots of economists, predictions, we avoided worst-case scenario – a recession. But some saw that as an opportunity to profit from gaming system,” he ded.

“Looking back, when post-pandemic boom cooled and businesses no longer needed ditional labour help, as a federal team we could have acted quicker and turned off taps faster,” Trudeau furr stated.
While dressing issues of international students being charged more that domestic ones, Trudeau said, “Far too many colleges and universities used international students to raise ir bottom line. re is fraud and abuse and it needs to end."

Under new immigration plan for year 2025-2027, Cana will see a contraction of 21% in number of permanent residents which are bound to be mitted in country. Furr, target for permanent residents has been reduced to 3,95,000 from 5,00,000.
