Alberta – Amid rise in Khalistani movement in Cana, supporters of rical group rip apart Indian tricolour flag in Calgary, Alberta. According to Canian-based news outlet Media Berzinga, incident took place on Saturday and prompted a confrontation between pro-Khalistai extremists and pro-India groups present in area. In video shared by news outlet, Khalistani supporters can be seen using ir daggers and swords to tear Indian national flag. y went on to chant pro-Khalistani slogans creating ruckus in Canian city.
As per reports, protest was organised by a pro-Khalistani group named “Sikh for Justice”. incident took place outside venue of a community event which was supposed to be attended by Indian High Commissioner to Cana Sanjay Kumar Verma. In past, Khalistani extremist has been accused of conducting deliest terror attacks in Cana. In video shared by Canian news outlet, pro-Khalistani and pro-India groups got so close to each or that police h to intervene to ensure that crisis did not escalate. In light of this, meeting at McDougall Centre was cancelled and Indian diplomat decided to skip event.

Same hooligans create ruckus in Cana
According to Media Berzigan, pro-Khalistani group largely comprised of same protesters who clashed with police in Edmonton last week.
