Diwan's lawyer Amiyakant Tiwari said he had filed a complaint before a Magistrate at Raipur against Khan over actor's alleged statement that intolerance was growing and his wife Kiran Rao had even asked if y should move out of India. Diwan sought registration of a complaint under IPC sections 153 (A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc) and 153 (B) (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration). But application was rejected on ground that sanction under section 196(1)(a) of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) was obtained, lawyer said.

In view of that, petition deserves to be admitted," high court said. Justice Sanjay K Agrawal issued tices to Khan and state government and posted matter for next hearing on April 17.

Meanwhile, on work front, actor will next be seen in film, Laal Singh Chaddha which is an official remake of Hollywood movie, Forrest Gump. lead in latter was Tom Hanks while Aamir Khan will be stepping into his shoes for Bollywood remake. Laal Singh Chaddha is touted to be one of most anticipated movies of coming year.
