Channing Tatum to co-direct, produce and write a movie titled 'Dog'

Magic Mike actor, Channing Tatum, has taken up a new movie project that he will co-direct, produce and write in an upcoming movie titled Dog. The film will be a road trip comedy that will revolve around a former Army Ranger and his Belgian Malinois dog named Lulu.

The Step Up actor will be essaying the role of a former Army Ranger Briggs who will be embarking on a journey down the Pacific coast along with Lulu. The two will be seen going on the trip to attend Briggs' best friend and Lulu's previous owner's funeral.

With Dog, Channing Tatum will be making his debut as a director alongside producing the film with Reid Carolin. They both are set to helm the script they co-wrote with Brett Rodriguez. The movie is set to go into the production stage during spring and will have a financial backing by Tatum himself and Reid Carolin's Free Association and Gregory Jacobs with the principal photography taking place in spring and summer.

The news about Dog comes 3 months after Channing had announced that he was taking a break from social media in order to get inspired and get creative again. In a post that he had shared a while back, Tatum had said that he had not felt creative on social media for a couple of years and that is why he was taking a break.
Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin, and Gregory Jacobs have together acted as producers for the first Magic Mike Movie that had Tatum in the lead role and was directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Carolin. Gregory had helmed the sequel Magic Mike XXL that was written by Reid Carolin.

Soundtrack of Silence
Channing is set to act in and produce a Paramount Pictures venture Soundtrack of Silence. According to reports, the Kingsman: The Golden Circle actor will be producing the drama movie through his banner free association.

The drama will see him teaming up with Temple Hill, who were also the producers of his film Dear John and the script has been written by Jamie Linden. The movie will be focusing on the story of Matt Hay, a sophomore who is losing his hearing and wants to capture all the sounds including songs before he completely goes deaf. The movie will be produced by Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner, and John Fischer. Although a director has not been finalized to helm the Paramount Pictures project.
