China asks Turkey to cease hostilities and return to diplomacy

China's foreign minister, Geng Shuang called out Turkey to cease hostilities and return to the right path of political settlement during a press briefing today.

China's foreign minister, Geng Shuang, called out Turkey to cease hostilities and return to right path of political settlement during a press briefing on October 15. Turkey launched its military operation on October 9 in rastern Syria against “terrorists” called Operation Spring of Peace. However, China believes that Turkey should stop its forces and rar return to diplomacy to resolve issues which are currently clouding nation. Beijing furr opposes “use of force in international relations” and full observation of principles and objectives stated by United Nations Charter.

China also believes that y seek political and diplomatic settlement of issue as per rms of international relations and framework of international law. This is a few days after United States retracted its troops from area of military operations. US President, Donald Trump believes that it was time for American soldiers to come home and guard borders of ir own country inste of staying in middle-east to guard borders between Syria and Turkey.

w China also claims to oppose military operation conducted by Turkey in order to create a 'safe zone' along border and be free of Kurdish militias which are also considered by Turkey as an extension of Kurdistan Worker's Party. This party is reportedly banned by Ankara. Furrmore, recent situation in Syria combined with abandoning by US has raised concerns about worsening of humanitarian conditions in region. constant questioning has also led President of Turkey to threaten European countries to send refugees ir way.

After European countries questioned ir military operations in Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened on October 10 that Ankara will send all 3.6 million Syrian refugees who are presently in Turkey to Europe. He furr said that y will open gates and send refugees away who seek asylum. Turkey leer even tweeted his dress to press in Turkish and me it public. President Erdogan h anunced on October 9 that Turkish Armed Forces along with Syrian National Army has launched  Operation Spring of Peace in rrn Syria in order to clear out “ISIS terrorist organizations.”
