China imposes new restrictions in Wuhan amid coronavirus outbreak
Chinese authorities on Thursday resorted to increasingly extreme measures to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, ordering a door-to-door inspection.

According to media reports, extreme steps by Chinese authorities came after city of 11 million people reported a death toll staggeringly higher than rest of country.

new restrictions came as people of Wuhan woke up to news that a doctor named Li Wenliang, who h first warned of dely virus outbreak in December, h died from disease infection. doctor was punished by Chinese authorities for allegedly 'spreing false rumours' after he shared news of outbreak with his colleagues on a chat group and warned m to stay safe. Wenliang was punished by police after screengrab of mess went viral on Chinese social media platforms.

Coronavirus outbreak
recent measures were a follow up of a lockdown that authorities imposed on 12 cities across China, 11 of which, including Wuhan were situated in Hubei province. China is battling hard to fight virus as just recently country built a hospital in a record time of just eight days to house patients affected by disease. Beijing is also building ar hospital in Wuhan with a capacity of an estimated 1,600 beds.

According to latest media reports, outbreak of dely coronavirus has claimed more than 630 lives in China alone and confirmed reported cases have reached up to 30,000 as of February 6. disease is believed to have originated in a seafood market in Hubei's Wuhan city, epicentre of virus outbreak, where animals were being tred illegally. As per US CDC, confirmed cases of virus have been reported in 27 or countries.
