China-Oman agree to strengthen strategic partnership following political advisor's visit

China and Oman have agreed to boost their strategic partnership and carry out the mutually beneficial cooperation in different areas, according to the reports.

China and Oman have agreed to boost ir strategic partnership and carry out mutually beneficial cooperation in different areas, according to reports. This move comes after China's top political visor Wang Yang visited Oman from vember 13 to vember 16. Wang is also incumbent chairman of National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). During his visit to Oman, Wang met with Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Council of Ministers Fah Bin Mahmoud al-Said and conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's warm regards and best wishes to Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said.

China rey to work with Oman on BRI: Wang

He ded that friendship and cooperation have always been primary factors of Si-Oman relationship. Wang furr ded that two leers of state in 2018 anunced establishment of China-Oman strategic partnership putting strong efforts into cooperation between two countries in various fields. He said China is rey to work with Oman to enhance synergy of Belt and Ro Initiative (BRI) and 2040 vision of Oman to explore more cooperation and improve quality and efficiency of bilateral cooperation. He furr ded that China backs Oman's efforts in safeguarding its sovereignty,  security and development interests and supports Oman is playing a major role in regional affairs.

Oman mires China's developments and achievements: Fah

On or hand, Fah asked Wang to convey Sultan Qaboos' cordial regards to Xi. He said that Oman gives importance to vancing relations with China and mires China's developments and achievements. He expressed his concerns for more robust BRI cooperation. Chinese government considers BRI a development strategy to strengn its global influence through proper infrastructure development and investments in countries of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Wang said that China is rey to work with Oman on major projects under BRI framework including infrastructure construction,  industrial parks, energy and invation expanding exchanges in culture, education and tourism and close coordination in international and regional affairs.
