China is tightening its grip on the information after documents leaked and reportedly the government in far west Xinjiang region is deleting, destroying data.

Chinese government in far west Xinjiang region is deleting data, destroying documents, and tightening its grip on information in response to leaks of classified documents of its mass detention camps for Muslim mirities. Shohrat Zakir, Xinjiang’s Uighur goverr said on December 9 that all people who were part of vocational training centres in Xinjiang have 'gruated' and are living happy lives. se remarks again opposed reported remarks by family members of Uighurs and or predominantly Muslim ethnic mirities who said that y are still detained in camps and prisons.

“When lives of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang were seriously threatened by terrorism, U.S. turned a deaf ear,” Zakir said at a press briefing. “On contrary, w that Xinjiang society is steily developing and people of all ethnicities are living and working in peace, U.S. feels uneasy, and attacks and smears Xinjiang.” 

 leaked internal documents revealed directives of President Xi Jinping to “show absolutely mercy” on Uighur Muslims, a mirity ethnic group, in “struggle against terrorism, infiltration and separatism”. 403-p long documents, leaked to an American daily, include internal speeches by Jinping and or officials, directives and reports on surveillance and control of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang.
