In a significant development, after Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen vised Chinese government to curb its military venturism, Beijing warned Taipei of "decisive measures". Chinese government has stated that main cause of tension between Beijing and Taipei is Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which denies considering 1992 consensus. Communist regime of China has often claimed democratic island of Taiwan as its own territory and has vowed to seize control of it by military invasion.
China’s Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson, Zhu Fenglian, said on Saturday, " Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ministration’s refusal to recognise 1992 consensus, unchecked plotting for independence and provocations, and collusion with outside forces to fight against mainland in a bid to change fact that "both sides of Strait belong to one China," reported ANI, citing Taiwan News. Fenglian's remark came after Taiwanese president, Tsai Ing-wen, called on Beijing to resolve ongoing tension peacefully, saying Beijing should halt spre of "military venturism."

In her New Year dress, Tsai Ing-wen expressed concern over China’s "military incursions" and stated that re was "no benefit to preservation of regional peace and stability," reported ANI, citing an NHK World report. In response to Tsai's remark, Zhu said if Taiwan "continues to provoke and force us, and even goes past red line, we will have no choice but to take decisive measures." latter claimed that current government in Taiwan "constantly produces lies, hikes up animosity, and sells hatred for political gains." Zhu asserted that China is rey to put in maximum effort to fight for "peaceful prospect of unification." However, demand for independence will only push Taiwan into a pit and cause its fellow Taiwanese comres to suffer a heavy disaster, she ded.
Recently, state councillor and foreign minister of China, Wang Yi, said United States is at risk of paying an "unbearable price" due to its action over Taiwan. China, on or hand, claims that United States encourages Taiwan to fight for independence against nation's military forces. political conflict between China and Taiwan has escalated over years as self-ruled Taiwan views itself as an independent nation, and its leers, including pro-independence President Tsai Ing-wen, have vowed to fight for its sovereignty against Beijing's goal of "reunification".
