Foreign Minister concerned about trade dispute with US
Foreign Minister raised the concern about the major trade dispute with the US that threatens global economic growth. He addressed the issue at the UN where a large anniversary display was showcased for the attendees, featuring a photo history of the world's most populous nation under communist rule. He said that drawing boundaries will not resolve global challenges and blaming each other for one's own problem does not work in a reference that is expected to be aimed at the US. He said, "tariffs and provocation of trade disputes, which upset global industrial and supply chains, serve to undermine the multilateral trading regime and global economic and trade order. They may even plunge the world into recession.”

China has made formidable progress in just 7 decades: Wang Wi
He said China has made formidable progress in just seven decades and compared it with other countries that took hundreds of years to develop. Chinese often expresses pride at the speed of their nation’s progress and the rise in living standards for many since the country began to open to the larger world after Mao Zedong died in 1976. Wang said growth and development play key roles behind China’s successes so far. Development is the master key to solve all the problems. His speech mostly seemed to be presenting China at the age of 70. Wang said, "Over the past seven decades, China has turned itself from a closed, backward and poor country with a weak foundation into a country that is open and on the move." He added that China is a nation with 5000-year-old civilization, 1.4 billion brave and hardworking people and a huge land of 9.6 million square kilometers. He said China cannot be ever suppressed with threats and subdued by pressure.
