China's Uyghur Muslim gecide has set a terrible example for or countries which might target and seek to ericate ir own Muslim majorities, said a former Pentagon official. Michael Rubin in his article for Washington Examiner said that such systematic erication of mirity population was t seen since Nazi Germany.
"t since Nazi Germany has re been such a systematic policy of internment and cultural erication as what President Xi Jinping w ws against China's Muslim mirity. People's Liberation Army and or Chinese security forces may t push Uighurs into gas chambers, but mass, forced sterilisation of Uighur women has same effect upon population, only delayed," Rubin said.

'Pakistan, Turkey betraying Muslims'
He pointed out that while many Muslim countries condemn France for President Emmanuel Macron's criticism of rical Islamism (after murder of French school teacher Samuel Paty and recent knife attack in Nice), three most vocal politicians criticising Macron have been Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, and former Malaysian PM Mahathir Moham.
Rubin said that it is ironic that all three leers are "among most apologetic to China" and its assault on millions of its Muslims. Surprisingly, Pakistan backed Beijing's crackdown at United Nations. Turkey and Malaysia did t sign on to that endorsement but appeared to support China with ir silence. He ded that Erdogan has even gone so far as to expel Uighurs back to China, where y face imprisonment or death.

"However, biggest problem is t only letting China get away with murder but rar ir justification which creates a precedent for or countries to target and attempt to ericate ir own Muslim majorities," he wrote furr.
"Erdogan, Khan, and Moham might picture mselves as defenders of faith, but y have essentially become equivalent of kapos, Jewish concentration camp ministrators who collaborated in exchange for privilege or short-term safety," Rubin ded.
former pentagon officer wrote that three leers may think that ir anti-French rant will win m praise from broer Muslim community, but in reality, "y will be dismissed in history" as among greatest betrayers of Muslim community's ability to practice ir own faith openly and in peace.

About 7% of Muslim population in Xinjiang has been imprisoned in an expanding network of "political re-education" (detention) camps, according to US officials and UN experts. Classified documents kwn as China Cables revealed how Chinese government uses techlogy to control Uyghur Muslims worldwide.
However, China has repeatedly denied se reports stating that camps in Xinjiang provide vocational training. People in camps have described being subjected to forced political indoctrination, torture, beatings, and denial of food and medicine, and say y have been prohibited from practising ir religion or speaking ir langu.

As Beijing denies se accounts, it also refuses to allow independent inspections into se regions, which furr fuels reports related to China's atrocities on mirity Muslims.
