Chinese advisor calls Joe Biden 'weak', says 'a Democratic President could start wars'
A Chinese government advisor recently said that the US President-elect Joe Biden is certainly a “very weak” President and he could start a war with China.

Amid increasing tensions between Beijing and Washington, a Chinese government visor recently said that US President-elect Joe Biden is certainly a “very weak” President and he could start a war with China. Zheng Yongnian, who is Dean of vanced Institute of Global and Contemporary China Studies, said that Chinese government must drop its illusion that its relations with US will improve under Biden. He ded that Beijing should be prepared for a tough stance from Washington.
Yongnian has analysed that if Biden can’t sort out domestic issues, n he could easily do something against China. He ted that Donald Trump was t interested in war, as he was t interested in promoting democracy and freedom, however, Biden is. South Morning Post reported that Yongnian said that Chinese government should utilise every opportunity to mend ties with United States.

In an interview on sidelines of Understanding China Conference in Guangzhou, Yongnian said, “ good old days are over... Cold War hawks in US have been in a highly mobilised state for several years, and y will t disappear overnight”.

He said that re was w a bipartisan consensus in US on containing China. Furr, he said that Biden might take vant of public resentment towards Beijing after he entered White House. “American society is torn apart. I don’t think Biden can do anything about it,” Yongnian said.
“He is certainly a very weak President, if he can't sort out domestic issues, n he will do something on diplomatic front, do something against China. If we say Trump is t interested in promoting democracy and freedom, Biden is. (President Donald) Trump is t interested in war... but a Democratic President could start wars,” Chinese government visor ded.

Meanwhile, in recent years, relationship between Beijing and Washington has deteriorated under President Trump over a variety of reasons, including coronavirus handling, tre and human rights. According to ANI, more than 300 separate Bills targeting Beijing have been drawn up by both Democrats and Republicans in Congress. United States has also dressed catastrophes in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.

Chinese foreign policy specialists have said that y expect tensions between two countries to continue under Biden ministration. 46th US President-elect, on or hand, has taken a tough line on China and even called Xi Jinping a “thug”. Biden’s campaign has also signalled that President-elect will call out China on its repressive policies in far western region of Xinjiang.
