Climate activists in Nigeria welcome Biden victory
A Nigerian environmentalist and climate activist said he was hopeful a United States administration under President-elect Joe Biden would put America back in the lead in tackling climate change.

A Nigerian environmentalist and climate activist said he was hopeful a United States ministration under President-elect Joe Biden would put America back in le in tackling climate change. Desmond Majekodunmi said world h been brought to "precipice of climatic breakdown" under leership of Donald Trump and ors with similar views on climate change.
Trump anunced in 2017 that US would pull out of Paris climate accord, a move which came into action earlier this month, creating a major set back in tackling climate issues around globe.

Majekodunmi, who runs Lagos State Urban Forest and Animal Shelter Initiative (LUFASI) said nature h pressed reset button with new coronavirus pandemic forcing world to shutdown, and that " reset button has also been pressed for White House" with Biden's victory. "Changes are coming and I am confident that as soon as Biden comes in he would reverse that whole process and he would put America back in le for tackling climate change because she was one of nations that was driving it," Majekodunmi said.
