Colombian Police announce $3 million reward for suspect 'looking like' Facebook CEO
Social media users triggered their own conspiracy theory as Colombia’s govt posted apparent perpetrators about an attack on country’s President Ivan Duque.

After Colombia’s government posted apparent perpetrators behind an attack on country’s far-right President Ivan Duque, it triggered social media users to jokingly link Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to incident. Colombian Defence Minister Diego Mola has been reportedly trying to convince people that leftist guerrillas opened fire on a helicopter transporting president on Friday. While Mola was unable to produce any evidence to back his ory, social media users jumped in with ir own version of what y thought happened on June 25 owing to resemblance of one of sketches with Zuckerberg.
In aftermath of incident, Colombian National Police on June 28 shared two sketches of two preparators on Facebook while offering a reward of 3 million dollars for helping with arrest. rough translation of post says, “Help us locate m! se are portraits spoken of perpetrators of attack on helicopter carrying Mr. president Iván Duque and his entour. Up to $ 3.000 million reward. Contact lines 3213945367 or 3143587212.” However, one of portraits has caused a stir on social media due to its uncanny resemblance with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

‘Mark Zuckerberg is one’
From sharing Zuckerberg’s GIFs to memes, internet users flooded comment section of Colombian National Police’s post on site explaining why y think it’s Facebook CEO. One of internet users advised law enforcement of country saying, “Need to hire a better cartoonist” while someone else joked, “ wonder Hptas offer so much reward.” Mocking reward, one netizen said, “Use that money to train cartoonists.”
Apart from sketch shared by authorities, re is or evidence pointing towards Zuckerberg being linked to shooting on Colombian President that left mir dam to armoured Blackhawk helicopter used by leader. On Friday, helicopter was reportedly approaching Cucuta airport on a flight from Sardinata when several shots were fired at it, apparently from a rifle. At time, Duque was accompanied by Mola and interior minister Daniel Palacios and or officials. one on board was injured.
