Montenegro kicked off its national competition on Friday to crown nation's most laziest person to humour stereotype of work-shy Montenegrins.

winner who "survives" lying in bed for longest time will be awarded 300 euros (350 US dollars) and a title of "laziest person" in Montenegro.

Food and water is provided by organiser, and contestants are only allowed to get up from bed to use toilet.

Last year's competition was cancelled because of pandemic, but 2019 winner mand to soze through seven straight days and nights.

Dubravka Arsic from Podgorica, one of contestants, told Associated Press that she joined competition to "rest a bit" and sent a strong mess to her opponents that y need to quit contest immediately because she "will win."
