According to article published in Lancet medical journal, doctors in China have detected virus's RNA in respiratory samples from survivors for a median of 20 days after y h been infected. Since originating from China, coronavirus has w spre to at least 118 countries with more than 125,000 confirmed cases.

According to international media reports, Fei Zhou from Chinese Acemy of Medical Sciences and or authors, recent findings have “important implications for both patient isolation decision-making and guidance around length of antiviral treatment”. Currently, recommended isolation period is 14 days in order to avoid furr spre of COVID-19.
