According to data provided by Health officials in Hubei province, 242 people h died of virus on Wednesday making it fastest rise in daily count since pathogen was discovered in December. According to a Reuters' report, this has brought total number of de to 1,310. Meanwhile, ar 14,840 cases were reported in Hubei province alone on Thursday after provincial officials started using Computed Tomography(CT) scans to look for virus.

Talking about increased death toll Raina McIntyre, he of Biosecurity research at University of New South Wales in Sydney said that presumably, se are those deaths which occurred in people who h a CT scan but t a lab test.
