Coronavirus not yet a global health emergency: World Health Organisation
Coronavirus, which has already infected hundreds of people and reportedly killed 18 people, still does not yet constitute a global emergency, the WHO said.

While speaking to an international media outlet, WHO Chief Tedros ham Ghebreyesus said organisation is still t declaring a public health emergency of international concern as it is an emergency in China, but it has t yet become a global health emergency.
After a two-day emergency meeting in Geneva, WHO has furr urged China to keep its lockdown of approximately 20 million people 'short'. Ghebreyesus, while speaking to international media reporters, furr stressed that decision by WHO should t be taken as a sign that organisation does t think situation is serious and ded that re is evidence of human-to-human transmission outside China. He also hailed China for taking immediate measures that it believed were appropriate to contain spre of coronavirus in Wuhan and or cities.

In an earlier reported, WHO h confirmed that SARS-like virus could be passed between people and Chinese officials furr warned that virus could mutate and spre furr.

According to international media reports, ar Chinese city, Huanggang which is a prefecture-level city in easternmost Hubei Province and neighbour of Wuhan will also follow le to suspending public transport in an out of city due to outbreak.

According to international media reports, virus has spre to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, South Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Singapore. mayor of city of Wuhan has also urged citizens t to travel outside China during Chinese Lunar New Year holiday and authorities have furr issued a travel visory warning in backlash of coronavirus.
