Coronavirus outbreak: Global death toll crosses 10,000, confirmed cases rise to 245,749
The unprecedented outbreak of deadly coronavirus which originated in China in December 2019 has now claimed over 10,046 lives worldwide as of March 20.

Out of total infections, 88,441 have been recovered but easily spre virus is continuing to disrupt many lives. Major cities have been put under lockdown in almost all countries, and ecomy is struggling.

‘Test, test, test’
However, World Health Organisation has said that best way to combat coronavirus outbreak for all countries is to ramp up ir testing programs. WHO director-general Tedros ham Ghebreyesus said in a conference in Geneva that “simple mess” he has for all countries is “test, test, test”. He furr ded that countries will remain unsuccessful to tackle pandemic if y fail to test all suspected cases and remain “blindfolded”.
WHO chief said, “But most effective way to prevent infections and save lives is breaking chains of transmission. And to do that, you must test and isolate. You cant fight a fire blindfolded.

He ded, "And we cant stop this pandemic if we don’t kw who is infected. We have a simple mess for all countries: test, test, test. Test every suspected case.”
