Coronavirus outbreak: Malaysia confirms two new virus cases

Malaysian authorities confirmed two more cases of a new virus on Thursday, bringing the country's total number of cases to 14.

Malaysian authorities confirmed two more cases of a new virus on Thursday, bringing country's total number of cases to 14.

Malaysian Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahm said new cases were a Malaysian citizen and a Chinese tourist.

On Wednesday, Ahm h anunced that two Malaysians arrived on a special evacuation flight from Wuhan, central Chinese city at epicenter of virus outbreak.

A viral outbreak that began in China has infected more than 14,550 people globally.

Cases confirmed as of Sunday morning in Beijing:

— China: 14,380 cases on mainland. In dition, Hong Kong has 14 cases and Macao has seven. Most of 304 deaths have been in central Hubei province, where illnesses from new of coronavirus were first detected in December.
