South Africa: Couple arrested from their wedding ceremony for violating lockdown orders

A couple from South Africa was arrested after they were caught celebrating their wedding with 53 other guests in attendance. They were later released on bail.

Media reports suggest that police were alerted by concerned citizens following which y arrived at venue and stopped ceremony. foot of couple's arrest is doing rounds on social media with people calling m 'COVIDIOTS' for t following lockdown orders and putting lives of ors in danger, including ir own. In video, groom and bride can be seen getting into a police van in ir full wedding dress. All arrested people were taken to Empangeni police station on April 5. As per reports, couple was released under stringent bail conditions.
